I bought this hub because my iBook had 2 usb ports but they were too close together to use both with some cables and flash drives. The configuration of this hub eleminates this problem. The power supply also works well and is a welcome addition.

After having this and being happy with it for ~1 year, I moved it to a new computer and plugged it into the USB port, then plugged in my Apple Keyboard. Lights blinked then went out, and then quite literally SMOKE came out of the unit, leaving me with a dead keyboard.
This is my 2nd DLink product...the first being a router, which also overheated and fried itself.
Needless to say this will be my last purchase from them...and also needless to say, they won't cover the damage.
